PoCats Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Isaac Efraim, an independent developer ("we", "us"), covering your use of the PoCats mobile app (Android package com.pocats.app). By installing or using PoCats you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. Who can use PoCats
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use PoCats with a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms on your behalf. PoCats is not directed at children under 13.
2. Your account
You can play with an email sign-in link, a Google account, or as a guest. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Guest sessions live on a single device — if you lose the device or clear the app, that progress is generally unrecoverable, and we cannot restore it. Sign in with an email or Google account if your album matters to you.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, album, wallet and sighting history.
3. Playing safely in the real world — please read this one
PoCats sends you outdoors. Your safety is your responsibility, and it comes before any card in the game.
Stay aware of your surroundings. Do not use the app while driving, cycling or crossing roads. Watch for traffic, kerbs, water and obstacles.
Do not trespass. Never enter private property, gardens, restricted areas, building sites or anywhere you are not permitted, in order to photograph a cat.
Respect the cats. Stray, feral and community cats are animals, not props. Do not chase, corner, grab, pick up, trap, bait or otherwise harass any animal for a photograph. Photograph from a comfortable distance and let it leave. If a cat is distressed or aggressive, walk away.
Respect other people. Do not photograph people, children, or the inside of private homes. Follow local law on photography in public.
PoCats does not provide veterinary, animal welfare or safety advice. If you believe a cat is sick, injured or in danger, contact a local veterinarian or animal welfare organisation — not us. We are not responsible for injury, loss, property damage, fines, or any other harm arising from where you go or what you do while playing.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit images that are not photographs of a real cat you are looking at — including screenshots, photos of screens, printed images, AI-generated images or another person's photographs;
- submit images containing nudity, violence, or content that is illegal, hateful or harassing;
- use bots, emulators, modified clients, spoofed locations, or any automated means to farm catches, currency or rewards;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app or its servers, or attempt to bypass rate limits, entitlement checks or purchase verification;
- resell, transfer or trade accounts or in-game items;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules, and where abuse is involved we may do so without notice and without refunding unused virtual items.
5. Photo verification is automated and imperfect
Catch photos are checked by an automated AI vision service to confirm they show a real, live cat. It gets things wrong in both directions: a genuine cat can be rejected, and something that is not a cat can occasionally slip through. Verification decisions, rarity rolls and reward outcomes are final. There is also a limit on how many verification scans an account may run per hour, to keep costs sane and prevent abuse.
6. Virtual items and in-game currency
Snack cans, lure treats, coins, XP, cards, frames, skins and gear are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use features inside PoCats. They are not your property, they have no monetary value, they cannot be exchanged for real money, and they cannot be sold or transferred. We may adjust, rebalance, add or remove virtual items and game mechanics as the game evolves. Unused virtual items are forfeited when your account is closed or deleted.
7. Purchases, subscriptions and billing
PoCats is free to download and play. Optional purchases are available and are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or handle your payment details.

Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and may vary by country and by tax. PoCats Pro includes faster snack recharge, rare-cat radar, Pro album skins and frames, premium lures, a larger snack capacity and streak insurance. Exact benefits may change as the game is balanced.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price, and your Google Play account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period, until you cancel.
How to cancel. Open Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → PoCats → Cancel subscription, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your PoCats account.
What happens when you cancel. You keep Pro benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is prorated for the unused part of a period.
One-time packs
Snack and treat packs are consumable one-time purchases. They are delivered to your account immediately on purchase and are consumed as you play. The exact contents of each pack are stated on the purchase screen before you buy. Because they are delivered immediately and consumed, they are non-refundable once delivered, except where the law says otherwise.
Refunds
All payments are made to Google, so refunds are governed by the Google Play refund policy and are requested through Google Play, not through us. Depending on where you live you may also have a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation; nothing in these terms removes a right you have by law. If a purchase failed to deliver what it promised, email hello@vegadigital.app and we will make it right in-game.
Restoring purchases
Your entitlements are tied to your PoCats account and to your Google Play account. Signing in again on a new device restores your subscription. Consumable items already spent are not restored.
8. Price and content changes
We may change prices for future billing periods. Where a price rise affects an existing subscription, Google Play will notify you in advance and, where required, ask you to accept it before it takes effect; you can always cancel instead. We may also add, change, suspend or remove features, cats, events or game modes at any time.
9. Your photos and content
Photos you take stay yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit and display them solely in order to run PoCats for you — that is: verifying the photo shows a real cat, removing the background, generating your card, and syncing your album to your account. We do not use your photos for advertising, we do not show them to other players, and we do not use them to train our own models. That licence ends when you delete the photo or your account. How photos are handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Our content
The PoCats name, artwork, cat designs, card templates, audio, interface and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own entertainment. You may share screenshots and your own cat cards on social media. You may not otherwise copy, redistribute, or build a competing product from our assets.
11. Availability
PoCats depends on your device, your network, third-party services and a working internet connection. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we may discontinue PoCats entirely — if we do, we will give reasonable notice in the app and stop selling subscriptions before the shutdown date.
12. No warranty
PoCats is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that verification or rarity outcomes will be accurate, that map data will be correct or current, or that any defect will be fixed. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress, lost virtual items, or lost profits, arising from your use of PoCats. Our total liability for any claim relating to PoCats is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us through the app in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory consumer rights available to you in your country of residence.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the app, or your conduct in the real world while playing — including trespass, harassment of animals or people, and breaches of local law.
15. Termination
You may stop using PoCats and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16 survive termination.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence and you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer law.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use PoCats after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription in Google Play.
